“Therefore remember Me, I will remember you, and be thankful to Me, and do not be ungrateful to Me.” (Holy Quran 2:152)

To illustrate this ayat, I thought it would be fun to play with magnets. We LOVE magnets.

If you remember Allah (SWT), He will remember you. If you remember Him, if you bring thoughts of Allah (SWT) close to your mind and heart, He will remember you. In the same way, if you bring two magnets close, they will stick to each other immediately. If you remember Allah (SWT), there is no way that He will not think of you. In the same way, if you bring two magnets close, they WILL stick, and no one can stop them.

We can’t see Allah. However, by remembering Him, we believe and know and feel that He is remembering us and sticking to us. Even if you place a barrier between the two magnets so that they cannot see each other, like a cloth or a piece of paper, the magnets will still stick to each other when they get close.

My daughter keeps wanting to watch this, calling it the “swinging one.” She’s been trying and struggling to pronounce the Jalla Jalalahu, and it’s kinda super-entertaining.
